Pre- School!

We have been talking about Busy Bee academy for quite some time in the Jones house. Brady has anxiously awaited this day (as have I). Brady is one of many students at the cutest pre-school ever! He goes two days a week for 3.5 hours! Heaven! I was told that Brady needed to wear tennis shoes to school and knew that this would be a challenge. For those of you who know Brady, he is quite set in his ways. Flip flops are the only shoe in his universe. I have tried several shoes and none have been to his liking. I lost lots of sleep trying to figure out how to get him in shoes. I decided that I would take him to the mall and let him pick out his very own shoes. Off to Nordstrom we went. I showed him the table with his size and told him to pick out his very own shoes. He is my son, so of course he picked out the cutest tie up navy blue vans. The girl measured his foot and pulled the right size. We tried them on and he was set. When we arrived to school he was asking all the kids if they liked his "awesome" shoes. Wes and I couldn't stop laughing. he was a little hesitant as it was time for him to say bye, but he was a champ and followed the rest of the kids to the jungle gym. I could hardly wait to pick him up and celebrate his first day. As he came out the gate he ran into my arms and I almost cried. Pathetic I know, but I know the day he doesn't need me or I'm embarrassing to him is just around the corner. So when he ran out with his arms open I melted. He laid his head on my shoulder and said "I'm so tired. I want chocolate milk and cartoons." So I threw my ideas of celebrating out the window and headed home for some good snuggle time with my Bradester. All in all, day one was a success. Where has time gone?
